Community Public Tours

Groups of over 20 people
Submit a tour request at least three weeks in advance. We'll respond as soon as possible, though we cannot guarantee all requests can be accommodated.

Note: Weekday tour slots are reserved for school groups, though we may find an opening for community groups. We encourage you to select times during school vacations.

Tour Details

  • Duration: 1.5–2 hours
  • Cost: Free
  • Lunch: No food available on-site, but bring your own and eat at our pavilion

Requirements

  • Vehicles must remain on-site during the tour
  • All visitors must stay on-site (no drop-offs)
  • LIGO is remote and vibration-sensitive; vehicles and visitors staying on-site protect our instruments

Science Saturdays—held on the first Saturday of every month. No tour request for groups smaller than 20 people.
