LIGO's Elementary Teacher Waves Workshop is a brand-new opportunity for local elementary and preservice teachers to explore physics concepts such as light, sound, energy, and other waves! Hear from experts to deepen your content knowledge and learn hands-on activities and inquiry-based methods to bring waves to your classroom.

The intent of this workshop series is to support local teachers by providing them with new and engaging ways to cover wave-related content with their students, consistent with NGSS standards. The workshop will meet at LIGO Hanford Observatoryon one Saturday per month from November to February, and participants will be provided with a Washington State OSPI certificate of attendance for 20 STEM clock hours.

The workshop will be located at the LIGO Hanford Observatory Exploration Center. The street address is 127124 N Rt. 10, Richland, WA 99354. However most GPS apps have difficulty finding this address accurately. Please use this google maps link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VcZcHPv3J32F6QEq9
